Ferry Privacy Policy

Goodtail ("we") respects your privacy and complies with applicable data protection laws. This policy applies to the Ferry app for macOS and Ferry's product pages.

1. Information processed by the Ferry app

Ferry does not require registration or an account. The app does not collect personal information or send it to our servers.

Photos and videos you select, file paths, checksums, verification results, and activity records are processed and stored only on your Mac. We cannot access those files or records. Ferry contains no advertising, analytics SDKs, or user-tracking tools.

2. App Store purchase information

Apple handles Ferry downloads, purchases, refunds, and payments through the App Store. We do not directly collect or store card numbers or payment credentials. Apple's privacy policy applies to information processed by Apple.

3. Ferry product pages and support

When you visit a Ferry product page, our hosting provider, Vercel, may process standard access logs such as your IP address, browser information, and access time for site reliability and security.

If you contact hello@goodtail.app, we process your email address, message, and any information you voluntarily attach so that we can respond and troubleshoot. You do not need to attach app data or personal files to a support request.

4. Purposes and retention

Web access logs are used only for security, incident response, and site operation, and are retained as required by law or the hosting provider's policy. Support correspondence may be retained for up to three years after resolution to answer follow-up questions and handle disputes, unless a longer period is required by law.

We do not possess the files or records stored inside Ferry, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. You control that data directly in the app and Finder.

5. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal information. We disclose it to third parties only where required by law or in response to a lawful request.

We use the following providers to make Ferry available:

Apple Inc. — app distribution, purchases, and refunds through the App Store Vercel Inc. — hosting and security for Ferry product pages

Information may be processed outside Korea as part of these services. Each provider's privacy policy also applies to the information it processes.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of personal information we hold about you. Send a request to hello@goodtail.app. We will verify your identity and respond as required by applicable law.

Ferry does not collect personal information in the app, so there is no in-app data-collection consent to withdraw.

7. Security

We limit processing to what is necessary, use HTTPS for web traffic, and restrict access to support information. Ferry reduces exposure by keeping app data on your device and never transmitting it to our servers.

8. Children's privacy

Ferry does not verify a user's age and does not knowingly collect children's personal information. If you believe a child sent personal information through a support request, contact us to request its deletion.

10. Changes
